Holiday Survival: 3 Products You Didn't Think About

Thanksgiving is this Thursday so there's no more denying it...holiday season is upon us and it's time to get ready.  Now, I love me some turkey, stuffing, pie and all the family and friends...and more pie, but what I don't love is the planning it takes to make this all happen.  Without fail, my inner control freak starts to appear and when that happens...let's just say it ain't pretty.

But, this Thanksgiving I'm another year older, another year wiser and I'll be damn well prepared for anything this holiday season throws at me.

Here to help me along the way are 3 products everyone should have handy around this time of year:

1) Tinctures- liquid plant/herbal extracts that you can mix into your water or drop under the tongue for a more immediate calming effect.

Skullcap is a comforting herb, traditionally used to chill out the nervous system. It helps promote emotional wellbeing and relaxation during times of occasional distress.

2) Essential Oils- I wrote a lot about the power of essential oils last week.  Since I'm obsessed with essential oils, I also needed to pick up pure lavender oil.  It smells amazing.  I like to dab it on my pulse points for an instant calming feeling or pour a few drops onto my Palo Santo Stick to cleanse the space and make it smell nice.

3) Calming tea: The Sleep Tea is a special blend of herbs that help ease you to sleep.  This works like a charm and I'm counting my z's in no time at all.

Check out The Herb Shoppe here.
